How to fix React Native Android Error Task :app:processDebugManifest FAILED

  android, expo, react-native

When I run the command "npx react-native run-android" to install and debug the App on the Android device, I encountered this error but am clueless on where to start looking to debug this issue. From what it shows, it seems to be a missing android:value to one of the in the AndroidManifest.xml file.

Looking for advice on where to start looking into to debug. Thank you!

  • What went wrong:
    Execution failed for task ‘:app:processDebugManifest’.

Manifest merger failed : Attribute meta-data#org.unimodules.core.AppLoader#[email protected] value=(org.unimodules.adapters.react.apploader.RNHeadlessAppLoader) from [:unimodules-react-native-adapter] AndroidManifest.xml:14:13-88
is also present at [:expo-modules-core] AndroidManifest.xml:14:13-86 value=(expo.modules.adapters.react.apploader.RNHeadlessAppLoader).
Suggestion: add ‘tools:replace="android:value"’ to element at AndroidManifest.xml:12:9-14:91 to override.
